Crash Much?
When it comes to mobile apps, crashes are no fun.
New data from crash reporting startup Crittercism shows apps on the latest versions of Apple’s operating system, iOS6, crash less than those on Android’s new Jelly Bean OS. Still, overall iOS apps crash more than Android apps on Crittercism’s network.
The big improvement in iOS6 is the biggest take-away in this new report. By contrast, last year Crittercism’s data showed that iOS apps crashed more than Android apps on its network. At that time iOS 5 was still relatively new and Android Ice Cream Sandwich had not been widely adopted. Since that post last year, Apple has released iOS6, first announced in June 2012, and Google announced Jelly Bean in June 2012.
